Hey all.

What with Halloween coming up I'm trying for fast farm builds to get as much stuff as I can.

Currently, the best I can do (kills/mintue rate) is 60 every 7mins with vaettir farm (not unlike the one which was posted here recently)

However, W/N Raptor farm is supposedly very very fast and it's something like 25 kills/1minute.

I haven't managed to get W/N to work yet, but im assured by everyone that it's fast.

Which you think would be best? (also if you have any better/faster ideas please share

)

Vaettirs over time are better i think. Problem is the storage issue. you run out of space QUICKLY.

Raptors is right outside the door and you have the benefit of the merchant right there.

As for speed kills/min, i think the raptor farm is much faster despite the incredible boring nature of the run. I havent got the W/N to work for me either but ive seen it run by and experienced player and it is brutully fast. I will get that one workin.

I'm not too worried about space, as im gonna be doing this mainly for the ToT bags. I mean if i do get lots of golds ill pick em up, but storage don't worry me too much.

Just had another bash at W/N and it's still iffy :S

W/N raptors is 33 kills + a boss in 44 seconds. I say its the fastest farm out right now.

quick solution for that mate. clear your inven out prior to the run there> get a heavy pack and bring merch summoners. all the inven you need you for a long couple hours worth of farming

They're the fastest, but I've never seen one 44secs fast - from zoning out for one run, to zoning out for the next run. Average seems more like 1:10 or more... but that's only what I've seen when leeching. Maybe my runners have all been rubbish?

The run is like 60 seconds, just go town > sell > run > gogogo....

Btw, I still get more golds with vaettirs than with raptors, and have been doing both for months...23 black and 38 white dyes also...

Raptors including merch stops + zoning etc. should average out at around 34kills every 1 min 15-20 secs. Not including zoning times you are looking at around 1min for 34kills.

Going for Vaettir, it's faster for me than Raptors cause i use candies to get around Obsidian Flesh slowdown, farming with 33% IMS is fun and so are instant casts. Also, raptors seem to drop crap and Vaettir are always nice to me ^^

Using consumables when farming... just seems wrong to me. I want to pile up consumables for regular play, not use them up while farming :-D

Raptors drop nicely for me, on average. Good for martial weapons and mods, and salvaging dust and iron*. Vaettirs dropped nicely for me in the past too, and are good for caster weapons and mods.

But we're talking about festival farming here... and I think Raptors win for event items.

*Save any "Measure for Measure" inscriptions, put them on gold Great Conches or Stilettos that are worth over 350 gold at the merch (without "show me the money!" inscription). Then salvage. You can get well over half a stack of dust from a Great Conch, and a quarter stack of iron from Stilettos. The higher the merch value, the more materials you get when salvaging.

For festival i think raptors are better , but if you also want drops Vaettirs are a little more profitable . Ofc with slow killing speed ....

Lol!!! You said raptor farm is faster and with better drops, but you don't know how the Vaettir farm works?

Over time Vaettirs net more profit since you get better drops (because you're not insta-killing them all at once).

Raptors are better for farming event items (since event items are not affected by the loot/scaling or anti-farm code or whatever).

Why or Why do we at comming events get the same threads appearing with same questions - is it possible to get a simple sticky up just stating both are used for event farming.That should hopefully cut down on these threads which usually get closed - i swear in the next few weeks theres going to be at least 1 of these started daily and same amount closed for various reasons.
Soz to seem a bit of a downer but it does get tiresome after a while and im sure the mods also hate event posts as they have to close so many

The build i used kills them all at the same time, so there would be no difference for the two builds.

Also I have looked at wiki and I couldn't find any evidence that "intsa-killing" gives any better or worse drops than killing one at once.

Yeah, that's why im looking for kills rather than loot.

Yeah, i found that with vaetiir's they almost always drop at least 4-5+ festival items per group, raptors i always get crap.

So yeah, myself i would farm vaetiir's, bring merch summons

Before budger blackpowder was nerfed, vaettirs was better handsdown. Now that u have to go a/me echo sf with caller skills, its way slower. doing hm raptors with w/n i can get 33-34 kills every 60 seconds. using the vaettir farm, i struggle at 60 in 4 mins. raptors wins handsdown. and with raptors, u can easily access storage/meerchant. you also have the chance at elite assassin tomes.

When I use an A/Me I can go in, kill the northern 36 vaettirs, pick up my drops and go out the portal for a total time of 2 minutes 10 seconds per cycle. Damage skills are Ether, CoP, LoD.
